| 18.5.08Iraq Media Campaign
</A> The media's coverage of the situation in Iraq and the conditions being faced by the Iraqi people, has left much to be desired and has resulted in a culture of ignorance. It was a culture of ignorance which allowed the British government to wage their illegal invasion in 2003 by using false claims relating to Weapons of Mass Destruction and the outrageous idea that Saddam Hussain was somehow connected with Al-Qaida in the Twin Towers attack on 9/11.
The people of Iraq need pro-active supporters who can help inform the international community about what is really happening inside of Iraq and this can help to educate people into the brutal conditions which are being faced by the entire Iraqi population and the fact that the occupation has left one million people dead and an estimated five million child orphans.
You can inform and influence a wider audience, by becoming part of the Iraq Solidarity Campaigns letter writing campaign and by sending regular letters to the local, national and the international media, this can help to provide accurate information and help guide the international community towards a perspective which is based on the truth, real experience and fact!
Your letter writing contribution does make a difference! You are welcome to use material from Iraqi Solidarity News (Al-Thawra) as your point of reference or to back up your argument and we do welcome copies of your letters for publication on our website.
