This is the first time in several months that ISIS has taken control of new territory, Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby said
LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online): A local police chief reported that ISIS fighters attacked the western Iraqi town for several months before seizing most of it last week. ISIS agents then reportedly attacked a compound that housed families of security forces and local government officials.
ISIS recently beheaded a group of Egyptian Christians on a Libyan beach.
The Iraqi government is losing further ground in the Anbar province.
Some of the burned victims are believed to have been members of the security forces, but the identities of the victims were still unclear, Police Chief Colonel Qasim al-Obeidi told reporters.
The reports have yet to be confirmed by Iraqi officials.
This is the first time in several months that ISIS has taken control of new territory, Pentagon Representative Rear Adm. John Kirby said.
Al-Baghdadi is one of the few towns still controlled by the Iraqi government in Anbar province. The town is also five miles away from an air base where about 320 U.S. Marines are training members of the Iraqi army.
Adding to the group's reign of terror, the U.N. Security Council announced is investigating claims that ISIS is selling human organs to pay for its sadistic operations. Bodies with surgical incisions and missing body parts have been found in shallow graves around the country recently.
ISIS has been executing people in droves and using barbaric methods to do so. Beheading and crucifixions are commonly used, and these executions have been publicized on the Internet.

Word of 45 people being burned to death comes after ISIS published a video showing the terrorists burning a Jordanian air force pilot alive. Mouath al-Kasaesbeh's plane crashed in Syria in December and he was captured by militants.
He was held captive before negotiations over his release broke down.
